During their visit to the Channel Islands, the monarch presented the new King’s Colours to the Jersey Sea Cadets — in what is the group’s 75th year — and emergency service workers, veterans, and youth groups carried out a march past the Pomme D’Or Hotel. The royal couple watched the parade in St. Helier, Jersey. While crowds braved the rainstorm and gusty winds, the weather conditions had Charles a little annoyed.

Now, a professional lip reader is revealing what he turned around and told his aides when Camilla was having trouble.

Being stuck in a downpour is no fun for anyone and for the king, it tested his patience. Not only did he and his wife have to stand in the torrential rain and watch the parade, but Camilla was having trouble holding her umbrella and pulling her raincoat on, which had been draped over her shoulders.

According to lip reader Jacqui Press, as she struggled the king told her: “Move your arm through the back.”

Press told the Daily Mail when that didn’t work, the monarch turned to their aides on hand and demanded that one of them: “Come and help her!”

After the incident, body language and behavioral expert Judi James compared the incident to Charles’ infamous outburst over a leaky pen while signing documents in September 2022.

Days after Queen Elizabeth II’s death, Charles and Camilla were at Hillsborough Castle when the king accidentally signed the wrong date on a document. Upon realizing his mistake, Charles noticed that some ink from the fountain pen he was writing with transferred onto his palm. He quickly stood up and voiced his frustrations about the pen saying, “God, I hate this!”

The king’s temper continued to flare as he wiped his hand and angrily exclaimed, “I can’t bear this bloody thing! It’s what they do every stinking time!” before he disappeared from view.

Commenting on his “impatience” while Camilla tried to get her trench coat on, James told the Mirror: “Stuck with only one arm in a sleeve, Charles turned to help but only after performing a jaw-jut that signaled some frustration and growing irritation. His impatient-looking tugging of her sleeve only made things worse and, like his episodes with the pens, he seems to look behind in a state of tetchiness to get someone else from their staff to do the job instead.

“Poor Camilla is finally heaved into the coat but it’s a while before she can regain her pose and composure again and get back into her regal role.”

The expert explained that “Camilla is seen as a very important member of the royal family. She is Charles’ closest confidante, rock, and a great figure for the royals to follow. It’s clear from when she is interacting and being out and about with various members of the royal family, she is highly respected.

“This is demonstrated through the likes of Prince William and Princess Anne reciprocating her body gestures and letting her take the lead from time to time. This tells us they’re feeling comfortable and at ease with her being in control. Camilla shows no signs of nervousness or feeling out of place, and that proves she’s confident to show up whenever duty calls.”

As Queen Camilla (formerly known as Camilla Parker Bowles) celebrates her 77th birthday on July 17, a couple of people who used to work for the royals are giving insight into what plans she may have and the present that King Charles will give her because he loves spoiling his wife.

Also, the monarch’s former aide is revealing where they might go as dining out isn’t an easy thing for them.

The place King Charles and Queen Camilla may go that can provide what they need

Paul Burrell began working in the royal household when he was 18 years old and served as Queen Elizabeth II‘s personal footman. In 1987, he was moved to the household of then-Prince Charles and Princess Diana to serve as their butler. Burrell believes Camilla’s birthday will be celebrated privately at home.

Speaking on behalf of Slingo, he opined: “I think privately, the king will give her a party at Clarence House or Birkhall and they’ll have people go up to Scotland … I don’t think there’ll be any public celebrations because it’s not a milestone birthday. Everything will be behind closed doors.”

The former butler explained that if they do venture out, it will be to one or two specific places because dining out isn’t “easy” nowadays, considering everything that has to go into it.

“Maybe they’ll go back to the Ritz again because that was a milestone when they first stepped out together,” Burrell said. “Dining out for the royals isn’t easy. They have to have a private dining room. And their favorite places are the Ritz and Claridges because they can provide the security, the lockdown they need, and that purple corridor, that special place that they can move to and from without too much interaction with the public or the press.

“Because when they dine out, they like it to be private. So that’s why those two places can offer them security and accommodations, which will be a smooth passage for them. Because they just can’t walk into any old restaurant, could they? No, it will be exactly far too difficult for them. It will be uncomfortable for them and it will be uncomfortable for the people dining with them.”

The king will ‘spoil’ his wife with what he has always loved to give her

Burrell added that in terms of presents, Camilla is likely to get a nice piece of jewelry from her husband.

“He likes to give her jewelry. I think he’ll give her something special,” Burrell said. “He may have had something commissioned for a birthday. He’s very spoiling, the king, and he will make sure that all attention is on Camilla. He likes to remind her that she’s queen. He likes to remind her that this is given by him for her service over the years to him, and this is his reward to her.”

Another former aide agrees that the queen’s birthday will be celebrated privately and that jewelry will almost certainly be one of Camilla’s gifts from the king.

Grant Harrold was King Charles’ butler from 2004 to 2011. During his time working for the now-monarch and Camilla, Harrold’s duties included that of housekeeper, house manager, driver, and valet.

Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, Harrold said: “The last time it was a big occasion was her 70th. I wasn’t there but I remember the party because I could hear the party from my house. But normal birthdays are very private. I always remember her birthday being the climax of summer at Highgrove before the royals head off to Scotland … Normally, Charles would get Camilla a piece of jewelry [for her birthday].”

After revealing so many family secrets, some royal watchers pointed out that the two people who had been playing the victims were bullying the duke’s relatives who they knew weren’t going to fight back. The prince and former Suits star then became the butt of jokes and Spotify decided to end its partnership with them before a company executive called them “f****** grifters.”

In 2024, Meghan and Harry decided to stop using the victim narrative and completely rebrand themselves. Now though, an expert says they’re showing signs that they can’t find anything else to do.

Royal expert and author Tom Quinn noted that the duke is still involved with the Invictus Games but they don’t start again until the winter, and the duchess has been teasing her new lifestyle brand since February but that still hasn’t gotten off the ground. Therefore, it’s starting to look like Meghan and Harry have nothing else to do now.

Quinn told The Mirror that Meghan’s American Riviera Orchard is “essentially just a rebranding of The Tig, the brand she abandoned when she married Harry, thinking that life as a royal princess would be filled with endless deference and untold wealth. We don’t yet know exactly what the new brand will be selling, but it’s astonishing that a royal prince and his wife have been reduced to selling some of the things we have already been told they will be selling — marmalade, jams, and even dog shampoo.

“The new enterprise and Meghan’s widely publicised visit to the children’s home in Los Angeles are definitely linked and suggest that the couple are beginning to feel uncomfortable sitting around in Montecito with not very much to do.”

It’s not just Meghan’s full launch, fans are also waiting for the debut of her cooking show to premiere on Netflix. The description for the program says it “celebrates the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship.”

The Duke of Sussex has a documentary coming out as well about the sport of polo.

Meghan and Harry are both mindful that the success of those two programs will decide whether Netflix renews their contract, and a source who spoke to Closer says the stress of that is weighing heavily on Meghan and how her show will do.

“You can just imagine the kind of pressure it’s putting on her and by extension Harry,” the insider told the publication (per Express). “If this show flops, it will be a total disaster, and she knows it. She’s on tenterhooks waiting for it to come out and the stress it’s causing her is being felt by everyone around her, especially Harry.”

“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” Kate shared via Instagram. “On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well. My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months … I’m looking forward to attending the king’s birthday parade.”

The princess added that while she knows she’s “not out of the woods yet,” she hopes to attend more public events over the summer. Royal fans probably know way more about now-King Charles and Queen Camilla’s affair than they care to admit because of numerous documentaries, several books, what was rehashed in The Crown, and what Princess Diana revealed herself in that infamous Panorama interview.

But before the public knew any of the dirty details, Diana spilled everything her husband did with his former flame to someone who admitted what she heard left her “gobsmacked.” Here’s more on that and the reason that person never uttered a word about it before.

Who Princess Diana shared all the inmate details of Charles’ affair with

Princess Diana and then-Prince Charles tied the knot on July 29, 1981. The televised wedding resembled something out of a storybook but as we found out later, their marriage never mirrored a fairy tale.

Diana knew Charles was seeing Camilla while they were married and even confronted them about it. But her husband continued to see his mistress, and years later Diana decided to confide in former BBC correspondent Jennie Bond about everything.

Nearly three decades later, Bond spoke on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show about the time Diana invited her to have a cup of coffee, and soon after that the princess told her things she could have never imagined.

“To my amazement, I was invited to the palace about three weeks later,” Bond recalled. “It was the first of two or three conversations — long, long conversations we had just the two of us — in which I asked everything I felt like asking her. All the stuff pretty much that she shared in Panorama five months later, she told me at the time. There were three of us in the marriage, it was a bit crowded.”

The former correspondent also explained that Diana had come to accept the fact that Charles was in love with Camilla.

“She told me she thought Camilla had been loyal and discreet,” Bond remembered. “She told me that she knew now at that stage that the love that Charles had for Camilla was stronger than any marriage he might ever have made. And she was very resigned and relaxed really about the situation, this was after the separation.

“We were pretty well aware of what the situation was but had not heard her true feelings about it. I was gobsmacked by nearly everything she told me. And she was so open, so incredibly open.”

Why she didn’t tell anyone else what Diana told her

When asked about her decision to keep Princess Diana’s secrets and not disclose them to anyone else after all these years, Bond explained: “I thought, ‘Am I the most stupid correspondent in the world?’ The reason I didn’t is that at the end of each conversation, as I was leaving standing on the landing, she’d say, ‘Oh, Jennie, it’s been lovely to see you. You do realize this is just between you and me and these four walls.'”

Prince William and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) have attended numerous engagements together over the years and presented plenty of awards to recipients at different events. But one event they were at several years back is getting a lot of attention now thanks to a viral video.

In 2015, William and Kate visited Portsmouth, in southern England, to meet competitors in the British leg of America’s Cup World Series sailing race. The skipper of Britain’s team at the time was four-time Olympic gold medalist sailing great Sir Ben Ainslie.

Someone who didn’t seem too impressed with Ainslie though was the Prince of Wales as a video of William’s expressions and reactions while the athlete is talking at length and joking with his wife has been making the rounds. Here’s more on that and what change William made the next year that kept the Princess of Wales and Ainslie less chatty.

The 47-second video was posted to TikTok on July 1 and has amassed hundreds of thousands of views and more than 29,000 likes. It’s titled: “He’s so silly.” But it’s the text in the video that viewers found creative and amusing.

While the music plays over the clips, text of William’s supposed thoughts appears with his less-than-pleased expressions while Kate and Ainslie carry on a conversation.

As the video begins, the prince is seen unenthusiastically clapping and the text reads: “Already hates this.” A few seconds later, William stands back a bit and crosses his arms while the princess and Ainsile keep speaking. The text says William is “pissed off” at that point and “not even trying to hide it.”

The next text that pops up claims the future king is “plotting to legalize beheadings” before thinking “I’ll do the beheadings myself.”

The video has also garnered hundreds of comments with many finding William’s reactions hysterical.

“I could not stop laughing at his expressions,” one user wrote.

“He was visibly jealous of Sir Ben lmao. It will forever be hilarious,” another said while a third posted, “Prince William going full Alpha.”

A fourth said: “The jealousy he has over her it’s soo cute.” And a fifth posted: “Him being overprotective is my fav thing.”

Another person pointed out that the following year, the prince did not have Kate present the medals. Instead, William gave them out to Ainsile and the team at the 2016 America’s Cup World Series. The commenter noted, “Remember how next year William decided to give him the medal himself not Catherine?”

Prince William and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) meet plenty of people every time they’re out and about or attend a royal engagement. Therefore, they have a lot of practice when it comes to handling different questions and situations when they’re in public.

So how did the Prince of Wales react when a lady named Betty wanted to kiss him? And what did Kate say about that request? A video of the princess’s response has now gone viral.

What Kate said after Prince William admitted Betty wanted to kiss him

The video posted to TikTok that has gone viral features footage from a Zoom call William and Kate had with actors Emma Stone and Emma Thompson about the 2021 movie Cruella.

The video opens with William talking about a playful encounter with a woman he had met saying: “I got propositioned by a 96-year-old lady called Betty yesterday who wanted to kiss me.”

Kate then chimed in and joked: “This is what happens when I’m not around!”

The TikTok video then cuts to several clips of Kate. It has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times with over 78,000 views and more than 200 hundred comments.

William elaborated that he had met Betty Magee who lives in a care home and they chatted over ice cream when Betty said: “It’s customary in these parts to give a lady a kiss on the cheek.”

The prince replied: “Betty if I … nah … I’m going to get slapped on the back of her head for being, you know, inappropriate, social distancing … you are sweet. You’ll make me blush. When the rules relax more, I will come back and give you a kiss on the cheek.”

Commenters gush over something about Kate

Many of the commenters not only gushed about how cute the couple was being in the interview but also Kate’s voice.

“I went crazy with Kate’s voice,” one user wrote while another added, “Her voice is to die for.”

A third person posted: “She puts on like a more soft voice usually and then in these Zoom calls we can hear her sort of normal voice & it’s so attractive.”

Others talked about the “rasp” the princess had in her voice writing: “The Rasp LAWD” and “I felt the rasp in my gut.”

And on a more serious note another person wrote: “I pray she recovers. He can’t do it without her.”

I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times.

William has been without Kate for several months as she’s been undergoing treatment. She made her first public appearance following her cancer diagnosis. during Trooping the Colour for King Charles’s birthday celebration but acknowledged that she’s “not out of the woods yet.”

In a message on social media, the Princess of Wales wrote: “My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home … I hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.”
